It was Amanda’s birthday so we decided to all go out for the day. It’s a rare occasion that we all get the same day off. As I work in retail I have to work most weekends, and mum, dad and Amanda all get weekends off. We decided to head to Brighton. The weather didn’t look hopefully but it held out for us which was good. We even got a bit hot walking along the pier.
We left quite early so we could find somewhere by the sea to have breakfast. Along the promenade are little stalls selling all different types of food, there was one selling all different types of fish.
We found a nice café called The Buccaneer. It has the restaurant one side of the promenade and then some another seating area right on the beach. We decided to sit on the beach. We all had a mixture of things. As usual I had the whole works and had a cooked breakfast. It was really good. The egg was cooked perfectly. I am really fussy with eggs and i like the yolk to be a bit runny but I don’t like the top to have that runny texture, yes very fussy!
We then walked along the beach. The sun was starting to come out so was getting busier. We didn’t know what to do so it was up to Amanda. Straight to the pier. She loves arcades and games so the pier is her idea of heaven.
We walked all the way to the end had a look round. We were all too full from breakfast to go on any rides, it wasn’t that we were all too scared.
We then headed inside to play on all the penny machines. Amanda was in her element. We had to drag Amanda out! We then had a little snack. Amanda and dad had a slush puppy and mum had a sea food selection.
We then walked back down onto the beach. It was quite warm so the sunnies came out, this meant I was also allowed to get an ice cream! Had to get a Mr Whippy!
We headed towards the outside cinema screens. They were setting it all up. It looked really good, they had food stalls in there, a huge screen and hot tubs. They had Frozen sing along on, we avoided this!
We were there for a few hours and then headed home. It was a good day out. Think Amanda enjoyed her birthday day out!
